Ingredients
-
Yoghurt of choice
-
Honey
-
Cacao powder
-
Turmeric
-
Coconut flakes
-
Candy eyes
-
Blueberry juice
-
Chia seeds
-
Cranberries
Directions
On a thin tray (or lid or chopping board - whatever fits in your freezer), place Halloween-themed cookie cutters.
In small bowls, mix together your choice of yoghurt with honey to taste. For brown, stir through a small amount of cacao powder until you get your desired shade. For orange, add just a tiny dash of turmeric - enough to colour the yoghurt without overpowering the flavour.
Spoon the coloured yoghurt into the cookie cutters and freeze for 1–2 hours, until firm enough to handle but not completely solid. Remove carefully from the tray.
On a clean tray, spread out a layer of plain yoghurt (sweetened with honey if you like).
Press your frozen yoghurt shapes into the base layer - they’ll sink in slightly as they begin to melt.
Decorate your spooky yoghurt bark with candy eyes, a drizzle of honey or blueberry juice, and your favourite toppings such as toasted coconut flakes, chia seeds, or cranberries. (Or whatever toppings you like!)
Freeze again until firm (Preferably overnight for nicer breaking), then break into pieces and enjoy!
